Loved one now having to have third bladder operation. Thankfully this time it will not be done by Mark Slack. First operation was to insert mesh into bladder, very painful recovery and was still painful 18 months later. Went to GP and was referred back to Slack. Slack was very rude and told us there is nothing wrong and that it was all in her head. Slack sent a letter back to GP saying she is a hypochondriac and a time waster. GP was disgusted and sent us back for more tests. Low and behold, mesh needed to be removed and Slack had done a slapdash job on the operation overall. Operation was done by Slack though he refused to speak to us at all before during or after, only his nurse and students spoke to us. Very petty and he offered no apology for his mistake. Now having to have a third operation as Slacks post operative care was so poor. Turns put he had not checked that sutures had been removed/dissolved and now they have calcified and are massive causing bleeding, pain and constant infections. Overall, very arrogant man, gets extremely unpleasant when questioned and even worse when proven to be wrong. Seems to have a lot of disdain for women and their health concerns. I suggest he focuses solely on research and lets more thorough and empathetic doctors who take a pride in what they do to deal with patient care.
